Welcome to the International Youth Balloon Festival website. Over the coming days and weeks we’ll be posting information about the event, how to register and the organisation team.

For now its our pleasure to announce that the inaugural event will take place in the town of Rypin, Poland. It will take place between the dates of Friday 15th and Friday 22nd July 2016. Each participant will be responsible for getting themselves to and from the event, but once there, their entry fee will cover all costs including travel, food, activities, accommodation and flying. Our event will be relaxed and laid-back with the enjoyment of all participants being the main focus.

The event will bring together young balloonists from around the world between the ages of 18 and 30 to socialise and network on the ground but primarily in the air. Weather permitting the primary focus will be on flying, with pilots, PUTs and enthusiasts sharing baskets with different nationalities and different friends old and new each slot. We hope to arrange some light hearted competitions and our hope is this event will bridge the gap between introductory balloon youth events like the long running and awesome International Youth Camp (taking place in France in August) and more serious ones like the International Junior Hot Air Balloon championships (taking place in Lithuania at the end of June).

Nonetheless there will be plenty of other activities to enjoy through out the week such as Stand Up Paddleboarding, Swimming, evening functions, campfires, BBQs, night glows, DJ and live music nights and day trips on days when the weather prohibits flying.
